DreamHack has just released more details about their upcoming $40,000 tournament, revealing the format and schedule of the qualifiers.
DreamHack Summer will commence on June 13-15 and will feature eight teams fighting for the part of the prize pool which is set to be $40,000. As it was previously announced at the start of this year, DreamHack will keep their open format for DH Summer as well. This means that four teams will receive a direct invite, while the other four will have to earn their spots throughout the qualifiers,
The qualifying process is split into the two parts, online and offline. Online part will consist of the two big open brackets where teams can freely sign up to participate with the maximum number of 256 teams registered per bracket. The top two teams of each bracket will then move on to the closed qualifier where they will be joined by the four invited teams to fight for the two spots which lead to the main event. The last two spots will be given away to the winners of the offline BYOC qualifier which will be held prior to the main event on June 13th and the teams can already sign up for it on this link.
