After being reintroduced to the game, 1.6 legend Robert ”RobbaN” Dahlström has decided to re-enter the CS:GO scene.
In an interview with Aftonbladet Esport, former CS 1.6 pro Robert ”RobbaN” Dahlström has revealed that he will be returning to competitive gaming gradually as he reacquaints himself with CS:GO.
In 1.6, Dahlström played for some of the top teams in the world, including the legendary Ninjas in Pyjamas and SK Gaming, but when teams began to move on to compete in CS:GO, he found that the early state of Global Offensive wasn't enjoyable.
"I quit pretty suddenly, mostly because I didn’t think the game was fun. I tried GO at first, but it was boring and not properly developed so that’s the reason I stopped playing."
However, after years of being away from CS while pursuing a career in construction, Dahlström found himself stuck at home after experiencing a debilitating back injury, where he rediscovered CS:GO, this time with a heightened interest. He has now announced that will begin streaming CS:GO often, and if things go as planned for the Swedish player, he will eventually return to the professional scene and join a team. His statement is as follows:
