Unfortunately for believers of the NA Dream, Day 2 of the ESEA Season 18 LAN Finals saw nothing but disappointing losses on the North American side. Luminosity Gaming was the first team to be eliminated from the event, following a 2-0 loss against rival NA team CLG. Next up was Cloud9, who suffered a heartbreaking loss after Nihilum were able to secure a dominant 2-0 underdog win against the international giants.

Coming into round 2 of the lower bracket, CLG were knocked out of the tournament after the German mousesports side 2-0'd them as well. Expectedly so, Fnatic also managed to 2-0 Nihilum to send them packing with their NA friends. It is also important to note that no North American team was able to secure a single map against any of the European teams, being a frustrating blow to the NA CS:GO scene in general.

Meanwhile, the upper bracket saw an intense matchup between the French side of Titan and legendary Polish team Virtus.pro. While Titan were able to secure the first map, de_nuke 16-11, Virtus.pro were quick to retaliate as they stole the remaining two maps 16-13 on de_cache and 16-4 on de_inferno, securing the first spot in the grand finals. Titan will now drop down to the lower bracket finals, as they will have to defeat the winner of Mousesports/Fnatic if they want to secure a spot in the grand finals of the event.

Schedule for Day 3:
17.00 CET - Mousesports vs Fnatic - Lower bracket round 3
19.00 CET - Titan vs Mousesports/Fnatic - Lower bracket finals
21.00 CET - Virtus.pro vs TBD - Grand Finals
