The first 2 upper bracket matches of the ESEA Season 18 LAN Finals have concluded, as Fnatic and Titan move on in the upper bracket while Luminosity and CLG are dropped down to the lower bracket.

The starting match of the North American tournament was between French team Titan and hometown team Luminosity Gaming, where map 1 was de_mirage. Here, Titan easily secured a dominant 13 rounds on their CT side, leaving Luminosity with only 2 rounds. The second half saw Luminosity try to pull together some sort of a comeback, eventually bringing it to 7-14. However, Titan did not have any issue pulling through, as they secured the last two remaining rounds, winning 16-7.
Map 2 was de_cache, with Titan starting on the CT side again, gaining a respectable 11 rounds compared to Luminosity's 4 on their T side. However, when Luminosity switched to the CT side, this was when they were able to get things rolling, making a complete comeback, bringing the score to 15-15. Unfortunately for the North American team, overtime was where they began to choke, and Titan were able to win in the first overtime, securing the map and match 19-16.
The second match of the day was between Fnatic and CLG, again starting on de_mirage. The Swedish side were able to start things off very well by picking up 11 rounds on the T side, and CLG had a long way to go if they wanted to comeback from such a deficit. In the end, Fnatic easily crushed CLG's T side pushes, as they were able to secure the first map by winning 5 more rounds on their CT side compared to CLG's measly 2.
Next up was also de_cache, where the score was kept relatively close before Fnatic eventually decided to step up their game and close the half out at 10-5 on their CT side. CLG tried to make another comeback, without much success as the Swedish side won the match 16-9.
Titan and Fnatic will now face each other in round 2 of the upper bracket, while Luminosity Gaming and CLG have dropped down to the lower bracket in order to battle against the losers of the other two matches in round 1 of the upper bracket.
