The Electronic Sports European Championship have released a full details about their upcoming LAN finals.
Twenty four nations have participated at the event, battling out through the group stage and then a single elimination bracket. Only the four have remained and they will have a chance to fight for the title and a cut of the $10,000. The LAN finals will be held from December 14-15 at BelExpoCentar in Belgrade, Serbia.
As we reported a week ago, the defending champions, Denmark, will not be attending this years LAN finals due to school and other commitments and they are being replaced by Poland. The other three teams are France, Sweden and Finland.
The format is set to a double elimination bracket with the four teams. The teams will have to win a two matches in order to proceed to the grand finals. All the matches will be played in a best-of-three series, except the grand final match which will feature a best-of-five series with the map advantage to the team coming from the upper bracket.
The map pool consists of seven predetermined maps: de_dust2, de_inferno, de_nuke, de_cache, de_mirage, de_overpass and de_cobblestone. The teams will be able to ban two and pick one each, while the third decing map will be the remaining one in the pool.
