ESL reveals the invited teams for Pro League

The Electronic Sports League was announced one week ago and today ESL has revelead the name of seven invited teams.

Only a week ago we reported that ESL announced a new tournament called ESL Pro League which will feature three different leagues Professional, Major and Open. Teams will have a chance to advance from the bottom league to the top league by earning points. The sixteen slots for the Professional league was said to be filled with eight invites and eight teams coming from the qualifiers.

The list of invited teams consist of seven teams, the 8th is yet to be announced. All these teams, apart from Titan, have finished in top eight at ESL One Cologne. Only Cloud9 and Fnatic weren't invited due to the fact that Cloud9 is going back to the United States after DreamHack Winter, whereas Fnatic are taking a well-deserved break.

Ukraine Natus Vincere
France Epsilon
France Titan
Denmark Team Dignitas
Sweden Ninjas in Pyjamas
France Team LDLC
Poland Virtus.pro

All seven of these teams played at ESL One Cologne at gamescom and gave some surprising performances throughout the tournament. While some of them might not have had the best time afterwards, we see these teams and organizations bringing solid performances in the future, and are happy to see such talented players taking part in the first season of our newly created league. - ESL official statement.

The qualifiers are already ongoing, while the European online qualifiers will kick off on November 18th. The interested teams are still free to sign up on the official site. The league will officially start on December 3rd.
