Hitbox Arena Championship 3 has come to an end. Team LDLC won the title after a not so great finals, where once again DDoS attacks interrupted the match and caused one of the teams to forfeit the duel.
The third season of Hitbox Arena Championship had the biggest prize pool so far. It kicked off with twelwe teams which were separated into the four groups where in the end only the top two of each group could advance to the playoffs. Team Dignitas and Team LDLC were the two teams which managed to reach the grand finals through single elimination playoffs.
Their match was played last night where Team Dignitas clutched the victory over Team LDLC on the first map which was de_inferno. This map is considered as the best map of Team LDLC, so it was a great plus for the Danish team which went with full confidence into the second map, de_overpass. At the half time they had 11-4 lead and that's when the trouble started.
One of Dignitas' players, device, started experiencing the DDoS attacks which made it unplayable for him. Dignitas tried bringing in a replacement, however they still couldnt continue playing and therefore they had to fortfeit the match. Dignitas wanted to continue match offstream or to reschedule it, however this wasnt an option and in the end Team LDLC won a title on a controversial way.
Looks like a win for @TeamLDLCCSGO and the ddos'er :D @hitboxteam wont let us play offstream, lovely admins with a ton of brainzzzzzz :D
