Fnatic are the champions of FACEIT League Season 2. They defeated iBUYPOWER with the score of 3-1 and have claimed the title as well as the $20,000 prize money.
The BO5 grand finals started on de_dust2, where Fnatic took an early lead against iBUYPOWER by winning their T side pistol round, as well as three following rounds, making the score 4-0. However, this was the end of Fnatic's lead as iBUYPOWER went on to win eight rounds in a row before Fnatic finally won one. The first half ended with a few back and forth round exchanges 8-6. iBUYPOWER started the second half by winning the pistol round and three more anti-eco rounds following a failed pistol-scout buy by Fnatic, doubling Fnatic's score 12-6. Fnatic managed to win two more final rounds before iBUYPOWER took the map 16-8.
The second map was de_mirage, where Fnatic started on the more favored CT side of the map and again took the pistol round as well as three subsequent rounds afterwards, before iBUYPOWER won one. Fnatic then continued to take another three rounds as iBUYPOWER secured one, making the score 7-2. After Fnatic winning two more rounds in a row, iBUYPOWER managed to win one more final round in the first half before Fnatic secured the rest of the rounds in the first half, ending 12-3. The second half saw iBUYPOWER making a slight comeback by winning the pistol round and three anti-eco rounds afterwards, but this was not enough to stop Fnatic as they took the map 16-8.
The third map was de_inferno, where the Swedes won the knife round and opted to play on the favored CT side. Fnatic lost the pistol round and the following round, but won the third round thanks to some heroics from krimz and co. At a scoreline of 7-1 for Fnatic KRIMZ had a very strong hold of the B bombsite which led to him getting an ace. At the score of 11-3 we saw JW get a very early pick, but iBUYPOWER overpowered the A bombsite afterwards, and the half ended 11-4. The next pistol round Fnatic rushed B and won almost every aim duel to win the round. The following round saw iBUYPOWER get it to a 2v1 in their favor, but flusha planted the bomb in the A bombsite and got a double spraydown on the reamaining iBUYPOWER players. iBUYPOWER began to mount a comeback, but it wasn't enough and the map ended 16-10 for Fnatic.
The fourth map of the BO5 series was de_nuke, where Fnatic won the knife round and elected to play on the highly favored Counter-Terrorist side. In the pistol round, we saw iBUYPOWER try to fake an A play, but the bomb went down in the B site, and Fnatic figured it out in time and won the round. Fnatic went on to win the following 2 rounds, where JW got a couple of nice MAG-7 kills in the squeaky and hut area. The first gun round saw iBuyPower go for a ramp play, but get shut down by the individual plays of olofmeister. At a staggering score of 10-0 for Fnatic, we saw iBuyPower push ramp and get to the lower bomb site, but swag was stuck in a 2 vs. 1 situation and against the odds he came out on top to get the first round for his side. The next round saw, iBUYPOWER push ramp yet again, but get demolished by the crossfire KRIMZ and olofmeister to reset iBUYPOWER's economy. At the score of 12-1 for Fnatic, iBUYPOWER faked A, and planted in the B bombsite where they kiled KRIMZ in the vents to get another round for their side. The half ended 13-2 for Fnatic. The second pistol round, saw Fnatic take outside control and wrap to ramp, after all of this JW was stuck in 2 vs. 1 against steel and DaZeD, and in the end JW died while trying to get the bomb down in the B bombsite. The two following rounds went to iBUYPOWER in a fairly commanding fashion. The first gun round saw Fnatic push ramp to the B bomb site but lose in a 2 v 3 situation because swag was hiding in the toxic room. At the score of 13-7 we saw both olofmeister and JW get an awp pick, but the hero of the round was KRIMZ who got a triple kill to win the round for his team. The next round saw JW go for another pick outside but this time he lost the battle to Skadoodle, Fnatic went on to push ramp to hell, and lose the round in a 4 vs. 1 situation. At the score of 14-11 we saw JW with the only rifle in the round, which was an awp, but it didn't matter as JW got 2 picks outside and krimz got a kill at ramp and then get the bomb down in the B bombsite and in the end Fnatic own the round to get to championshi point. The next round saw Fnatic push outside and get shut down by Skadoodle and swag. At the score of 15-12 we saw fnatic push the A bomb site, but get shut down by the A hold of DaZeD. At the scoreline of 15-14 we saw Fnatic sneak their way into the B bombsite and get tge bomb down without being noticed, and iBUYPOWER got decimated while they were rotating to give the win to Fnatic 16-14!
