The groups for ESWC in Paris have been drawn. The event will be held from October 30th to November 2nd.
The 24 qualifying teams will be divided into four groups based on the weight of their qualifier, or "seeds groups". The ranking for each group goes from "Top", "High", "Medium", to "Challenger", with "Top" being the best ranked seed. Each group will feature 2 teams from each seeding category except the "top" qualifiers, which have only one per group. After the group stage, the two best teams from each group will then proceed to the playoff phase.
The ESWC finals takes place from October 30th to November 2nd. However, the actual event will kick off at October 29 with the French qualifier for the two remaining slots. The winner of the qualifier will join top seed teams: fnatic, Virtus.pro and dignitas, while runner-up will get a "high" seed slot with teams like Ninjas in Pyjamas, Natus Vincere and iBuyPower.
Alongside with the regular tournament will be the female only CS:GO world cup, which features 8 teams divided into 2 groups.
