Fragbite Masters Announce Final Details for Season 3

Fragbite Masters have announced new information regarding Season 3 of their CS:GO Tournament.

After announcing the prize pool and invited teams for their $42,000 tournament just last week, Fragbite Masters have now announced even more information regarding the schedule, LAN finals, and prize distribution.

The first qualifiers for the tournament will be between September 22-23, whereas the second qualifiers will be between September 27-28. Each qualifier will have a total of 128 teams, with a possibility of increasing the slots if necessary. The top two teams in each qualifier will join the twelve invited teams to make a total of 16 teams in the whole tournament.

The group stages will start on October 1st and will continue onto October 12th. There will be four groups of four teams, 3 invited teams and 1 qualified team in each group. The matches will follow a double elimination format where the first two matches played in each group will be BO1, whereas the remaining matches will be played in BO3 format.

The online playoffs will also be played in double-elimination. The top two teams of each group will be placed in the upper bracket whereas the bottom two teams of each group will be placed in the lower bracket; no teams will be actually be eliminated in the group stage. The first round of the lower bracket will be in BO1 format, however, the rest of the tournament will be played in BO3 format. The playoffs will take place from October 14-29.

The playoffs will carry on until there are only four teams remaining in the tournament. The top four teams will then be given the opportunity to play at the LAN finals in Stockholm, Sweden where they will battle for a grand prize of approximately $22,500. While there will still be an upper bracket and lower bracket at the LAN finals, the team coming from the upper bracket will not receive a map advantage in the BO5 grand finals, only an extra map veto advantage. The LAN finals will be held between November 8-9.
