DreamHack just announced DreamHack Stockholm CS:GO Invitational with $30,000 for prize pool. The event will be held September 25-26. Ninjas in Pyjamas and Fnatic are the first invited teams.
DreamHack have announced a new CS:GO Invitational which will be held during DH Stockholm on September 25th and 26th with the prize pool of $30,000, which is similiar to DreamHack Summer which was held earlier this year. The first day is reserved for the group stage which will be played at Inferno Online. The venue for the playoffs will be Ericsson Globe during September 26th.
The organizers have revealed the first two invited teams, Ninjas in Pyjamas and Fnatic. Both teams have recently been performing at a top level and also faced each others in the ESL One Cologne finals so it comes to no surprise to see them headlining the invitations list. Five more slots are reserved for the invites, while the last spot is up for the grab throughout the open European qualifier which will be hosted by FaceIT.
The tournament format will see eight teams distributed into the two GSL groups, where the top two teams of each advance to the playoffs. All the group matches are being played in a best-of-one format, while the entire single elimination playoffs bracket consists of best-of-three series.
