Day one of the StarSeries Season X Finals has arrived, featuring four of the best teams in Europe fighting for a total prize pool of $30,000 in Kiev, Ukraine. Here you will find live updates for each of the matches, map by map.

The first map in the BO3 was the classic de_dust2, in which to no one's surprise, Fnatic dominated. Starting on the slightly less favored CT side of the map, Fnatic managed to pick up the first pistol round as well as multiple rounds afterwards. The underdog team in the entire tournament, myXMG was not able to put up much of a fight, for after losing their first buy round they were forced to eco again and again. They were only able to string together four rounds in the first half, ending it 11-4 in favor of Fnatic. The second half proved to be even more dominant, where Fnatic picked up the pistol rounds and all rounds afterwards, ending the first map with a prevailing 16-4.
The second map in the BO3 was mirage, where Fnatic also crushed any resistance myXMG had left. Starting on the more favored CT side of the map, Fnatic won the first pistol round as well as twelve rounds after that. myXMG was only able to win two very close rounds in the first half. The halftime score was 13-2 in favor of Fnatic, and after Fnatic won the pistol round of the second half, it was game over for myXMG as Fnatic won the map and the BO3 with a huge lead, 16-2. Fnatic will now move on to round 2 of the upper bracket, where they will face the winners of Na'Vi vs HellRaisers. myXMG will drop down to the lower bracket, where they will have to win two BO3 matches in a row in order to secure a spot in the grand finals.
Na'Vi vs HellRaisers
Na'Vi started on the slightly less favored CT side, and was able to win the pistol round and two rounds afterwards. On the second buy round, HellRaisers was finally able to string together a round, only to be shut down again, forcing them to eco. After going back and forth, Na'Vi finished the half with an impressive 10-5 scoreline. The second half proved to be no different, with Na'Vi winning the pistol round and the two round following. HellRaisers was able to win the first buy round of the second half, but their sliver of hope for a comeback was crushed when Na'Vi won the next round, forcing HellRaisers to force buy, which ultimately was unsuccessful. Na'Vi finished the first map with an impressive 16-6 scoreline.
The second map proved to be much closer, with Na'Vi starting off with a great lead. Starting on the more favored CT side of inferno, Na'Vi was not only able to win the first pistol round but also four rounds after it before HellRaisers was able to get one. The score eventually went back and forth but Na'Vi still came out on top, ending the half with a leading 11-4 scoreline. In the second half, HellRaisers was able to win the pistol round as well as multiple rounds following it, and eventually was able to comeback, tying with Na'Vi. The one time Na'Vi was finally able to string together a round, HellRaisers fought back and picked up another round, keeping the scoreline extremely close. However, Na'Vi still eventually came up on top, and crushed HellRaisers goal of taking the match to a third map, ending it 16-14.
Fnatic started on the less favored T side of mirage, where they managed to win the first pistol round and the two anti-ecos following it. When it came time for the first buy round, Na'Vi still struggled to win a round, as Fnatic proceeded to win three more rounds. Na'Vi later on came back, able to string together consecutive rounds, eventually leading to a seemingly close 8-7 scoreline in favor of Fnatic, despite the fact that Na'Vi was on the more favored side. On the second half, Fnatic also won the pistol round, as Na'Vi decided to use a somewhat common buy after losing the pistol round, the CZ-47 armor buy. Investing almost all of their money on the second round of the first half, it proved to be unsuccessful as Fnatic won the round, losing only two players. Without adequate money to buy up, Na'Vi was forced to a full eco as Fnatic took multiple rounds in a row, while Na'Vi was only able to string together three rounds in the second half. The match ended 16-11 in favor of Fnatic.
Again, Fnatic started on the less favored T side of inferno, where they also took the first pistol round and two consecutive anti-eco rounds afterwards. Na'Vi failed to win their first buy round, making it 4-0 but they were able to win a force buy afterwards. This time, Na'Vi cameback, stringing together five rounds consecutively before Fnatic was able to win five consecutive rounds of their own. The first half ended 9-6 in favor of Fnatic. on the second half of the map, Fnatic was able to pick up the pistol round. Na'Vi decided force buy the round after anyways, buying armor, pistols, and nades. This was to no avail as Fnatic won the round, losing only one player. Na'Vi decided to force buy one more time, buying armor and rifles for only three players, but Fnatic was still able to win the round. Na'Vi finally decided to eco, where to no surprise, Fnatic won. Fnatic eventually ended up winning the game, losing no rounds in the second half. The match ended with a dominating 16-6 scoreline in favor of Fnatic.
