Group Stage Standings

The group stage consisted of two groups of five teams each. Mousesports were placed second in the group A but due to schedule conflicts and visa issues they had to cancel their participation at the LAN finals so they were replaced by Virtus.pro. The standings of group stage are below.

LAN finals

The tournament will be played in standard double elimination, where four teams will be placed in the upper bracket, with HellRaisers and myXMG as the first pair and Na'Vi and Virtus.pro as the second one. The matches will be played in a BO3 format, and the winners will continue in the upper bracket into Round 2 where they will fight for a spot in the final.

The losers will drop to the lower bracket (also in BO3 format), and will have to win two matches in a row in order to secure a spot in the grand finals. If a team loses a single match in the lower bracket, they are out of the tournament.

Location

GameShow Season I Lan Finals will be held during the IgroMir, the biggest gaming festival in Russia, at the Crocus Expo in Moscow, Russia. Crocus Expo Center is located in the southern Moscow district of Krasnogorsk, Moscow Oblast.

Predictions

Match 1: Ukraine HellRaisers vs Denmark MyXMG

HellRaisers underwent a roster change a two weeks ago replacing Dauren "AdreN" Kystaubayev with Alexander "s1mple" Kostylev. The young s1mple has proven to be a great addition for the team, top fragging every match they've played ever since. These lan finals will be a great chance for them to get back on the track and show once again that they are among the best world teams. HellRaisers are currently ranked 12th in our rankings.

myXMG, the ex-Reason Gaming/unu.AIN squad have found its spot in a new organization right before the StarLadder Season X lan finals. At the SLTV finals they played against Fnatic but lost 0-2. Dropping to the lower bracket, they met their current opponents at GameShow, HellRaisers, losing to them 2-0. However, myXMG has topped group A of GameShow with only one lost game to Virtus.pro, so they will be going into this match full of confidence. They are currently ranked 37th in our Counter-Strike rankings database.

Match 2: Ukraine Na`Vi vs Poland Virtus.pro

Na'Vi, the champions of SLTV StarSeries Season IX, have proven to be serious contenders in the scene since their roster change in December. All-star AWPer Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovacs and former Virtus.pro player Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev have shown to be important assets to the team.

At ESL One Cologne, Na`Vi was eliminated in the quarter finals by Fnatic, the team who also defeated them at the grand finals of StarSeries X. Their recent performance hasn't met expectations, so they'll be looking forward for improvment. In September they had 60% win rate with 12 wins 1 draw and 7 loses and are currently ranked 8th in our Counter-Strike rankings database.

Ever since winning EMS One Katowice, Virtus.Pro have been struggling to win another trophy. Their performance has been on a high level but always came short of stepping on the winners podium. At ESL One Cologne they got eliminated by the French team LDLC at the quarter finals which was a big upset since they were coming as champions of a previous major tournament. In September they had a 56% win rate with 20 wins, 3 draws, and 13 loses. The Polish team will definitely try to put a good show at this event, as they are one of the favorites for the title. They're currently ranked 7th in our Counter-Strike rankings database.
