Tournament news:
Dota Professional League (DPL) kicked off its third season with two tier leagues. Newbee, winners of the previous season are already in first place in the Top League while in the Secondary League EHOME is looking to regain their former glory. DPL Season 3 boasts a prize pool of ¥600,000 (≈$86,800 USD)
The International 7 to be held In Seattle
After a call to arms for all the workshop artists interested in contributing to the TI7 Collector's Cache for which Valve revealed an aquatic theme, the Cosplay contest announcement disclosed the location of the event. TI7 will continue to be held in Seattle and the venue will most likely be the same KeyArena.
DreamLeague Season 7 announced with an NA division
For the first time in the tournament's history, the DreamLeague playoffs will be held in US, during DreamHack Atlanta on July 21-22. Another important change is the addition of an NA division with three directly invited teams for the League Play group stage and qualifiers organised on the FACEIT platform.

DAC English talent has been revealed
With Paul 'ReDeYe' Chaloner topping the bill as main host of the Dota2 Asia Championships 2017, the announcement of the English broadcast team also marks the return of David 'LD' Gorman to the casting desk and brings to the Dota 2 fans EG’s CEO, Peter 'ppd' Dager to the analysts panel. The list includes a total of 14 names, all amazing and at the top of the audience preferences.
Team Secret receive the fourth direct invite to the Manila Masters
Having just won the tough European qualifiers for the Kiev Major, Team Secret received a direct invite to the Manila Masters. The $250,000 tournament, which is to be held in SM Mall of Asia Arena from May 26 - May 28 will feature the top teams from around the world battling it out for domination and a potential slot for a direct invite to the biggest tournament of the year - The International 2017.

Cyber Anji welcomes its new members
FC Anji, a Russian based football club, announced at the start of this month the formation of a Dota 2 roster based in the CIS Region which featured the return of Alexander 'XBOCT' Dashkevich.

Mineski to rebuild an international roster under Mushi’s command
Following the Kiev Major qualifiers failure, Mineski will undergo their biggest change yet, dropping the idea of a full Filipino or Southeast Asian roster. The new international lineup will be a premiere for the Filipino organization, with players “hand-picked” by Mushi, who will also be the captain of the new squad. The new roster will be revealed in the upcoming weeks.
The end of Akke's team Horde comes after a disappointing performance at the Kiev Major European open qualifiers. Horde attempted the open qualifiers for the Kiev Major and unfortunately, after a round of 16 exit in the first session, they missed the regional stage in the second session grand finals by losing the series 0-2 to WehSing "Singsing" Yuen Beanboys.
