Showmatch: Grubby vs. Moon

It for sure has been the most wanted match for many fans in the WarCraft 3 scene for months now. People were discussing who is the best WarCraft 3 player in the world and most of them mentioned 4K.Grubby or Pantech_Moon. Both players have got a great list of achievements, but they didn't meet very often yet. The WC3L now organizes a showmatch between these two players, and this will for sure become one of the most exciting and most awaited showmatches ever.

"Grubby vs Moon, the Showmatch to end all Showmatches", says the banner of the WC3L page and it looks like it could become this way. » Grubby has achieved a lot so far, his biggest wins might be the first place at Cyber X-Games, WCG 2004 and ESWC 2005, but next to this his list of achievements is very long. Together with his team 4 Kings he is undefeated since ages now in the WC3L and Grubby is winning most of his matches there. He also became the "eSports player of the Year" at the eSports award and is seen as the best non-korean player, if not the best player in the world.
This is what the showmatch seems to be about: The firght for being the best player worldwide. Although a Best-Of Five match hardly can tell you if the one player who wins is really better, most in the community will take the result to prove their favourite to be best.

Pantech_Moon seems to be the best Nightelf player in the world and next to Grubby he is seen as the best player worldwide aswell. He has won a lot of great korean tournaments so far, like "WEG Season I and II, MWL Season I, MBC PLV, OGN and several big Korean tournaments which include the IGE leagues", the news at the WC3L page says. Atleast in Korea he is the most successful WarCraft 3 player ever and although he wasn't seen in the non-korean scene very often yet, one can be sure that he can give Grubby a hard fight and also win against him.

Nightelf vs. Orc

The matchup of the Best-Of Five match (all five maps will be played, also if one player wins the match earlier) is Nightelf against Orc. Lots of people say this matchup favours the Nightelfes, and also Grubby said in an Interview on WCReplays.com that this is the hardest matchup for him, although he likes it due to it's toughness. Anyways the Nightelves have been beaten by Orc players often in the WC3L this season and Grubby aswell as Moon are players who are good enough to deal with every matchup.

Facts & More

The match will start at Tuesday the 18th Octoberat 5:00PM CET. It will be played in a Best-Of Five but all five maps will be played, also if one player already won the match with 3-0 or 3-1.
The WC3L did not announce details about the coverage of the showmatch yet but it looks as if ESL TV aswell as several shoutcasts and probably WaaagTV will be available.
