We are a few hours away from the end of the GSL Group Stage and the beginning of the Playoffs.
The Group Stage of Gold Series International has been ongoing since March 21st in Shangai, China, and will conclude tomorrow, on March 24th. The Group A, B, and C matches are completed, while the Group D matches are to begin in a few hours. So far, PtitDrogo and Harstem from Group A, Sioras and TooDming from Group B, and Nerchio and Scarlett from Group Zerg Group C have qualified and will meet in the Playoffs. PuCK, Snute, MajOR, and MarineLorD from Group D are soon confronting each other and you can watch the live stream of each match here.
PtitDrogo, Nerchio, and Sioras, who ended up in the Group Stage after KingKong was disqualified, are moving on to the Playoffs without a single defeat in the Round of 16. Meanwhile, Harstem, TooDming, and Scarlett have suffered one defeat. So far, it seems that the Quarterfinals will star Protoss and Zerg, which makes sense, considering that only 3 Terran players had qualified for the Round of 16.
The prize pool of the Gold Series International is $50,000 and 5,000 WCS Circuit Points.
