It was recently announced that The Gold Premier League (GPL) International 2016 will join the WCS Circuit 5,000 line-up.?
The Gold Premier League (GPL) International 2016 have planned a nice surprise for all StarCraft fans. GPL will host a WCS Circuit tournament for 18th anniversary of StarCraft's release. This tournament will be reinforced with yet another show, a Korea vs the World event.
The whole event will boast a $50,000 prize pool with an additional 5,000 WCS at stake. The battle will be held in Shanghai from March 21-26. Moreover, on March 27th there will be an extra event, where the special guests (all star players) will be invited to challenge the Circuit champions.
For the main WCS event which will award 5,000 points, four players will come as invitees, while another four will qualify from the offline qualifiers. Finally, the last eight players will be decided through online WCS Passport qualifiers.
