The Koreans had strong showing it last night's Sao Paulo quarter finals and defeated their opponents 3-0 to move to the round of four. herO, Major, TLO and Bomber will play today to determine the second semi final.
After finishing second in his group behind Bomber, Jjakji drastically improved his play come the playoffs. In a somewhat surprising turn-out, the mYi Terran steamrolled through two-times WCS America champion Polt without dropping a single map and became the first player to advance to the semi-final round.
Jjakji was followed by his compatriot and former SK Gaming poster boy MC who faced no troubles beating Irish Protoss ABomB 3-0. Counting his group stage score, MC is currently undefeated in the tournament with 7-0.
IEM Sao Paulo day three will begin with two more Korea vs the West matches. At 13:00 CET, reigning IEM champion herO[join] faces Mexican Terran Major and an hour and a half later, Liquid crowd favorite TLO goes against Red Bull's Bomber. The grand finals are scheduled for 19:00 CET and the winner will take home $10,000 and 750 WCS points.
