The first round of Challenger League matches were carried out with few to no upsets and the big names and crowd favorites advanced to Premier League. The fate of players like HasuObs, BabyKnight, San, Snute, Jjakji and ForGG will be decided in two weeks' time.

The first week of Europe Challenger League was pretty much an all-EU affair and as a result Premier League invited more and more foreigners. Happpy, FireCake, StarBuck and Naniwa were the first four to advance, knocking out, among others, the most recent EPS winner and aspiring Terran player Heromarine.

Day 2 was a bad one for Poland as all three of its representatives failed to make Premier League. Tefel, DieStar and sLh fell to Lilbow, Slivko and Grubby and joined the defeated by BlinG Krass out of the WCS.

Day 3 marked the defeat of one of the four Koreans playing in Challenger League. After going up by a pair, Daisy failed to close the series against Bly and allowed the Ukrainian to make a 3-2 comeback to knock the Protoss out. Welmu, Showtime and TLO also joined Bly up in Premier League.

Days 4-6 will take place Febryary 4-6. Both Europe and Korea have high-rollers participating and the fate of Dayshi, BabyKnight, Kas, Elfi, Snute, San, Jjakji, ToD, ForGG and others will be decided in two week's time.
