ToT, ESC and RoX currently sharing first place

Last week's report ended with a comment about the gaps between the teams perhaps widening after week five. The truth couldn't be further from the truth. Like a pack of long distance runners, no one has yet managed to break away from the rest.

Nice, NiceAff!

Having lost a couple of matches in the previous weeks, NiceAff decided to unload their rage and their anger upon the hapless eXpertise team. The stats are currently listed as 4-0 for NiceAff, with only Lucky vs TellMeWhy remaining to be played, although there was some ruckus on the forums about the game between HeMe and Praetor, meaning the score in that particular game could still be 1-1. In any event, it is clear that NiceAff grabs a few very needed points in their race to catch up with the top crowd.

eXpertise also needed those very points, so they'll be hit particularly hard by this loss. But the season isn't over until it is over, so we'll see what they can pull out of their bag of tricks.

Saints get RoXed

While a writer may face certain difficulties, like for instance attempting to work RoX into as many witty titles as possible, the actual team RoX seems to be having a breeze. Dimaga and Brat_OK both do what they've been doing for quite some time now, delivering and winning for their team, and Marwin hopped on that wagon as well. Klyaksa and aaOa still remain to be played, but don't be too surprised if RoX sweeps Saints this week.

With the point boost that entails for RoX, who are currently tied for first place together with ToT and ESC, they are bound to rocket up into a nice and secure first place. Meanwhile Saints Team really need to look over their play, because at this rate they don't have any hope of staying in the division.

ToT on the rise

With a win against LRM this week ToT joins the crowd it's used to hanging out with; the top crowd. Only LRM's OctZerg managed to withstand the onslaught and win his game against XiaoZi. As people have probably head, Cloud made a decision to come back to ToT. The team welcomed him with open arms and he's kicking things off quite nicely, pulling in those wins for his team.

LRM has had a bumpy couple of weeks, but they have been facing pretty stiff resistance, to say the least, and they've always managed to pick up at least one point in each match. However, given the fact that a couple of other teams are really raking in the points and beginning to start their rocketing upward, LRM needs a convincing win of their own to keep up.

ESC vs mTw shrouded in myster

Certainly an important match for both teams, ESC wishing to pull ahead of the crowd and mTW, who are just one point behind, looking to cement an advantageous forward position as well. The results of this match are at this moment uncertain, with only White-Ra reporting a win against DarkGamer. The outcome of the match is bound to rearrange the upper teams' positions a bit, so we eagerly await more games being reported.

The situation

Due to some comments about last week's table was a bit unclear, the walkover wins for each team will from now on only be added into the stats as they appear, meaning this list will mirror the one on ICCup.net. Since it mirrors the official list at the time of writing, games that aren't completely finished won't be included in the rankings, but will certainly be mentioned in the report above.

With that out of the way, we can see that it's crowded at the top. With only one point separating the top three teams from the next two teams, it's anyone's race at this stage. Once all the results are reported properly from this week we will see some more variation. ESC, RoX and mTw especially have a very real chance to pull away some this week, provided that they keep up the good work next week. The ESC vs mTw match will be quite crucial in determining this, whereas RoX already has their game in the bag and their points are certain.
