PGL Season 4: Day 4

Day 4 was to be the last day of the in-group brawl as the winners took the few remaining spots in the Ro8, while the rest either had to go for the loser’s bracket, or go home. It didn’t come out to be a very surprising outcome as all three of the Koreans went undefeated in their groups, two automatically gaining a spot in the Ro8, while one other must go through another phase in the loser’s bracket tonight.

Group B had previously defeated Group A gaining the winner’s bracket therefore, instead of facing an elimination round, the losers would have to go through another phase (loser’s bracket). Puma and Pj advanced to the Ro8, while Strelok and Super went to the loser’s bracket.

Group C was a different story as the two losers were eliminated while the rest gained critical spots in the loser’s bracket. Orion 2-0’ed EVA and then ChinaTTTT sending them both to the elimination bracket while he comfortably grab himself a seat in the loser’s bracket. Who would go with Orion was up to the three Chinese players, as they battled it out in the elimination bracket. In the end, it was EVA who would go, beating Fengzi in round one and ChinaTTTT in the second, eliminating their hopes for the title of Champion.

Group D was no surprise as they demolished their way through the group stage, gaining the top spot which guaranteed all of their players a chance to make it to the Ro8. nbs came off with a strong 4-0 finish, while Legend had to fight his way through the loser’s bracket to follow his Korean counterpart. Meanwhile, Vulture and lbh gained the last two vital spots remaining in the next loser’s bracket.
