WGTour clan tournament tomorrow!

For the third year in a row, WGTour.com presents their clan war tournament. Featuring 16 of the 20 highest ranked teams on WGTour it will for sure create some exciting games!

As we can see the tournament bolster an impressive lineup. The teams are picked staight of WGTour's clan ranking, where the top 20 recieved invites and, after some hassle with ZZZ not recieving their message, this produced 16 prepared teams. This is arguably the clan tournament with highest prestige and level of competition all year.

WGTour has used a simple seeding system. Highest ranked of these teams face the lowest ranked, second highest ranked faces second lowest ranked and so on. The teams are presented in order of ranking (to the right). This will hopefully create some really tense finals down the line. As all replays have to be saved and uploaded we can look forward to watching some high level games when it is all done.

ToT and MYM. must be considered the two major favourites for the number one spot. ToT recently beat MYM in the WGTCL final with a decisive 3-1 score, showing great strength when it counts. However in recent time we have seen a trend of MYM beating ToT (and they were the favourites last time too). However history has tought us that the underdog always have a chance, shown by the numerous unexpected defeats both these top clans have in their record and with the tournament being single elimination it is not at all impossible for an underdog to come out on top.

Everything could of course happen, but the first round should offer few tight game or surprises. ToT, MYM, Light, LRM) and faculty should have fairly easy clan wars. NaW vs RoX on the other hand could be a nail biter to the last game, offering high level play and tight competition. Other clan wars are harder to predict. Those are clans that can, if they get a very strong lineup and a good, day all play great. But they can also dissapoint. Remember -Get- beating up ZZZ in BWCL? Yes they have potential. But it might also end up like it did the week after, bitter loss. It is in -Get- vs AoN. and =iG= vs NrT- we might see some surprising results.
