Liquibition #24 - Nostalgia

On Sunday, the 14th of December in the year of 2008, the reoccurance of one of the most ancient and honorable arenas of fighting will be celebrated. Exactly 13 days before the full moon of December a winner will be crowned and held in honor from the two combatants: BRAT_OK and IefNaij.

Six years after the first two warriors of the TeamLiquid showmatch system fought and bled on fields of honor it has been brought back. Long standing in shadow of other events brought to satisfy the bloodlust of the people by their staff, the most classic and clean way to settle the score is back. Best of seven, each player picks three maps, and then preparation for the kill.

The two players have a history. Nobody knew who the Russian Terran BRAT_OK was before the TSL, but where better to show your name than in one of the most prestigious online tournaments ever held? BRAT_OK rose above all expectations and competition, fighting his way through the brackets, taking down the biggest names of modern foreign StarCraft.

But there was one player who did not flinch. He himself belonging to the new power era of foreign StarCraft he did not fear. That was IefNaij, a Protoss from the frosty Canada. In a close series, 3-2, he managed to take down the newborn powerhouse from the East. And fittingly, being able to take down BRAT_OK he also won the entire TSL. He now awaits BRAT_OK as the champion of Liquibition.

BRAT_OK is back to show that the Terran era of Russia did not die with the falter of the veteran iron trio. He is back to claim what is his, revenge and victory!

IefNaij is here to show why he won the TSL. Why he is the reigning champion of Liquibition. No freshling from the other side of the Pacific will take his place!
