This weekend three Terrans, two Zergs and five Protosses fought for the one USA ticket to Cologne in Germany for the World Cyber Games Grand Final.
Surprises in the group stage
Few thought less of NonY than that he would leave the group stage, but already after the first day a few upsets appeared. IdrA, one of the top favourites for the finals lost surprisingly early, as did last years champion iNcontroL; surprisingly, the player moving on along side NonY was G5. The second group showed another set of interesting results, with the fairly young Zerg to the foreign scene Machine moving on together with the second surprise of the tournament, Louder, leaving Artosis behind. We then had four players left in the tournament.

NonY losing his first
Here NonY lost his first game, to Louder, ending up with a 1:1 score but managing to take the last game and moving on while Louder had to face Machine in the loser bracket. G5 losing the winner bracket final and beating Louder in the loser bracket final took him to the final, where he once again stood versus NonY.

The Grand Final
After winning the first game in the final the second game was a really tight match. However, NonY's computer decided it was the time to break down in the middle of it, and after the disconnect, the referee's looked at the replays and gave G5 the win, judging how the state was in the game when NonY disconnected. The score was 1:1.
The last game, on Othello, was yet another tough match, but the game fell into NonY's hands. Tyler "NonY" Wasieleski finally got a chance to prove what he is made of in the WCG Grand finals.
