A day after defeat at the hands of an unknown Dutch StarCraft pro-scene coverage/blog/forum community/pancake strudel making website, our GosuGamers.net staff struggles to cope and understand; just what had gone wrong?
Today was a quiet day in the GosuGamers.net staff IRC, no one had dared to speak of last nights long awaited rivalry match between the two behemoth sites. It was a solemn day indeed. As I watched over and over the VODs from last night the only thing that kept running through my head was "ARE YOU SOME KIND OF LEPRECHAUN?"
That wasn't helping. I decided to talk with the two staff members who had won a game just to see if they held the answers.
GrooVe was the first champion for our team but sadly was not able to repeat it in subsequent games in 2v2.GG-GrooVe: Well, I didn't know much about my opponent but it seems that he tried to gain the advantage at the start with the drops. I was very nervous during the game and didn't even see the first storm because I was doing the all-in push.
GG-Phantom: So what went wrong in the entire match?
GG-GrooVe: I think everything went pretty well and how I was expected. Just should have been little bit more accurate with those drops because he almost killed like half of my scv's
GG-Phantom: If we had sent you in there to play against 3 other players do you think we would've taken the showmatch 5-2?
GG-GrooVe: haha, naah I won because I prepared and played like 30 games at Saturday before the exact match. I wouldn't have had any kind of idea about the other maps.
GG-Phantom: So we can't send you to play 5 different players in the next site v site showmatch?
GG-GrooVe: Well... sure you can do it but then you have to face the fact that we are going to win 5-0?
GG-Phantom: that's true, I wouldn't want us to win 5-0, that's just embarassing for the other team
GG-Phantom: Ok well thanks for the talk!
I thought I had finally solved our problem...we needed to clone GrooVe and have a line-up that consisted entirely of GrooVes, it seemed like the weakness to the Dutch website was an all Finnish Team. But all our problems were not addressed, it took
CJ_EffOrt to flush out the real cause of the loss, 28.8K connections. Sadly CJ_EffOrt was too busy practicing with the CJ A team, with the likes of XellOs and SaviOr, so he did not reply to my messages. GosuGamers.net versus Teamliquid.net | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
