Spirit Tournament Brings Foreigners To Korea

SCForAll introduced the "Spirit" tournament, in which a few select players will be invited to Korea to join a pro team.

The tournament is set to begin today on the ICCup ladder, but unfortunately ICCup is experiencing downtime. Nonetheless, the spirit tournament will continue. Anyone outside of Korea and China are welcome to play in this tournament, as mandated by the tournament rules.

Sign up on ICCup and SCForAll

You need to make an account on the SCForAll website, and join the ICCup team (link below). Players are free to play against anyone they wish until August 29th, when the ladder stage is set to end. Throughout the ladder stage, certain players will be chosen to face off against progamers from Korea. Just a couple weeks ago, NonY and Iefnaij faced off against JulyZerg and Kal respectively.

The best continue

Immediately following the ladder stage will be a final tournament in which the top ten players are automatically qualified; also, six players will need to qualify manually. As with the ladder stage, the best games will be released as VODs and commentated on.

During this final tournament, the sixteen players will fight in a single elimination bracket. Note that the showmatches against the pros will continue throughout the entire event.

Rules?

Most of the standard ladder-style tournament rules apply, for instance no smurfing or abusing. For a full list of rules, follow the link below.
