After his triumph over Flash, ForGG will square off against none other than his teammate Jaedong, the current MSL champion, today att 10:00 CET.
ForGG stands on the verge of becoming the new MSL champion. All he has to do first is defeat the zerg of zergs, Jaedong. He readily confesses that he is slightly nervous about the upcoming finals.
-You know, we all thought it would've been fun and amusing if the finals were a teamkill (team member fighting another team member), but now that it's actually happened, I don't know what to think..I practice on 2nd floor, and Jaedong practices on 1st floor. Whenever I go downstairs, I can still make eye contact with him, but in a stressed way. If I have errands to do downstairs, I try to do them quickly rather than facing another awkward moment with Jaedong...
The fact that they are teammates and know each other's playing styles very well is not lost on ForGG.
-True, I've noticed in teamkill matches, Terran somehow has the upper hand against Zerg..this kind of comforts me a bit, not to mention that I know Jaedong's builds as well. Very comforting thoughts before the match.
This is the first time in his career that ForGG has reached the finals in a major tournament. This may well be his only shot at a title and he intends to make this one shot count.
-I try not to think about losing. I'm preparing by not thinking about losing, just like I do any other matches. I also think to myself, "if I lose tomorrow, I'll never get the chance to go to finals again". Thinking these drastic thoughts allows me to relax and know I'm going to win.
-'If I win, it'll probably be a 3:1 victory, if I lose, it'll probably be a 1:3..I don't know, it just seems like it', ForGG replies with a laugh when asked about his predictions for the outcome. He also thinks that the first game will be a key factor, the winner of that game having a clear advantage over his opponent thereafter.
All in all we have a slightly nervous, yet confident and composed heading into the finals today, eager to prove that he has the skill and daring to snatch the title from his teammate.
