The heavy pressure from the community paid off: StarCraft is added to the list games for GGL Digital Games.
Disappointed at first, relieved in the end. The GGL Digital Games game list did not include StarCraft at first despite the game ending in a second place in the user votings. Now the event administration changed their minds again, after hearing the StarCraft community's demands.
- The community has spoken and we've listened. We have now included six of the top games from the original poll, was said in the official news about the game list changes.
The competition structure starts with a one and a half month long ladder competition, starting today, June 11. Playing on a specific Digital Life platform, you gain points for winning matches, but also for just playing them. Gaining 60 points for a win and 40 points for simply playing, the ladder encourages people to play as many games as possible.
The top 32 players of the ladder will play an online regional qualifier. After that, a set of player will be invited from each regional final to play in the global final in China. The number of players advancing from each region depends on the amount of invitations for the specific game and region.
