Half way through the Game Star Liga Mondragon and Strelok are in the lead with only one loss each.
With eights round finished, we see the Christoph "Mondragon" Semke and Eugin "Strelok" Oparyshev in the lead, as they have only lost one match each - standing strong with a 7-1 score. While Strelok's first loss came today against SquaLL, Mondragon had dropped a match earlier during the season to Notforu.
The league has been having some trouble getting matches to be played at the said date, which has resulted in many postponed matches, and GoOdy has already dropped out of the tournament. But with last week's "follow-up" round where postponed matches were played the season seems to be back on track.
Mondragon thinks it's a tough league, and he can't say which half is the easiest.
- First half I already had White-Ra, Notforu, GOsia and many more. Second half there is Dreiven, SquaLL and eventually Strelok coming up, says Mondragon to GosuGamers.
What made you win versus Gosia in last week's clash?
- I actually think Rafa could have easily won all three games. He was ahead in first game and just deserved to win it. In second game I picked Monty Hall and we both went random while he got random Zerg I got random Terran. He seemed to have the game but then wasted a little bit too much at some points and finally I could win the game. The third game was a very close one where he caught an advantage early with his buildorder and later on with his first attack. After that he even had three gas while I only had 2 the whole game but my +1 Carapace made me win the game luckily, says Mondragon.
Were you surprised to see that Squall defeated Strelok?
- "Surprised" is a very undefined word. On the one had I knew that David is really really strong lately but on the other hand Strelok is very strong too. So I guess 50/50 was just right in my opinion. But after seeing the replays I must say that David played very very awesome all 3 games, especially the game on Tau Cross was basically flawless in my opinion, says Mondragon.
Are you satisfied with how the GameStar Liga has been administrated?
- I don't have any problems with the admins, the streams are cool, just the coverage itself with replays, vods, results and tables are just not really up to date and lack updating quite a bit, says Mondragon.
