Return of the Emperor and ACE

A titan-filled line-up against a line-up from a team that has been at the bottom of the pack since its inception. Something spectacular was about to happen or was it the old same story of the better team sweeping?

Two weeks into the Shinhan 2008 ProLeague season and we have already seen an upset beyond what most would have expected. Sure maybe 3-2, or even 3 -1, but an all-kill? That is right, the all-star line-up that MBC Hero put up against the ROKAF ACE included Light, Sea[Shield], and in 2v2 Pusan/ TheZerg. But that night, none of it mattered as they were about to get dismantled.

First Game - Boxer vs Light[aLive]
At the beginning of the season Boxer had said that he wanted to elevate his game as well as his team. So what better way to start of this match then to have the Emperor himself set an example for the rest.

Second Game - DaezanG vs Sea[Shield]
Sea[Shield] versus...who? With a good 6 years on Sea's age, DaezanG has less than half of the league appearances than Sea and no podium finishes compared to Sea. Easy choice right? Not really. So who would have expected?

Third Game - Rage / Clon vs Pusan / TheZerg
Other than the duo of Justin and Nsp_Flower of OGN Sparkyz(16-6 last season), 2v2 matches have never really been a dominating factor for any team. All teams last season placed almost evenly with either 12-10 or 10-12, while ACE tied last with a record of 9-13. So ACE still had a chance.

So it was done. Boxer's words echoed loud with great encouragement from the entire team. Coming into this match MBC Hero was ranked first with a 3-0 record and +8 in points, meaning they had lost only one game in there matches so far. They had all-kills against defending champs Lecaf OZ and eSTRO and dropped only one game against SKT1. ROKAF ACE on the other hand was flogged at the hands of KTF, Samsung KHAN, and eSTRO with a 0-3 record and -7 points, they were dead last. With the all-kill ACE is no longer last place and moves up one spot from 13th while MBC Hero still sits at the top of the ranks tied with KTF. With 18 more matches to go and 7 spots from a playoff berth, ROKAF ACE still has a chance.
