MIStrZZZ's Ban Lifted

tslheader.jpg

Almost as quickly as he was banned, MIStrZZZ has been unbanned from the TSL after a second review of the allegations made against him.

Within the 48 hours of his ban Poland MIStrZZZ had been proven innocent of allegations against him that he had used a drop hack against another player during a match on the TSL Ladder. An official statement has been released by Canada Manifesto7 at TeamLiquid.net listing the details of their investigation of the incident.

According to Manifesto the TSL staff , with the help of iCCup Administrators, consulted the actions list of the match replay that MIStrZZZ was accused in. By determining that MIStrZZZ was in a stream of actions at that the time the drop had occurred, the TSL staff had ruled out the possibility of MIStrZZZ initiating a drop hack exploit stating, "It is not possible for Mistrzzz to have initiated the drop through malicious means." Thus amidst a whirlwind of criticism and praise, the TSL staff had removed the upon MIStrZZZ and had apologized to MIStrZZZ himself and thanked him and the iCCup staff for their cooperation.

Further points that were addressed in the statement:
* The reason we were not forthcoming with the original evidence was that we did not want to publicize the method of dropping that was under investigation. We felt that making it public would hurt both our ladder and the scene in general. I am in contact with Blizzard about it, and hopefully it will be patched in the future.

* Unfortunately, due to us not revealing our rationale, the door was open to wild speculation. I want to make this very clear. AT NO TIME DOES TEAMLIQUID.NET MAKE DECISIONS BASED ON NATIONALITY. The repeated suggestions of this make me sick, and it is the ultimate insult to the people giving up their time to make this event happen.

* The TSL will continue to work hard to maintain a fair play environment. This incident was a learning experience for us, as the entire league is. There are still 1450 other gamers enjoying the ladder, and we will continue to make this a positive experience for them. I would hate for all this work to be marginalized by some stupid 48 hour drama.

MIStrZZZ Speaks
Currently MIStrZZZ has a rank of C+ with a record of 59-29 and is sitting at 37th place in the TSL rankings. GosuGamers.net caught up with MIStrZZZ while he was online to get a few comments from him, here is what he had to say:
MIStrZZZ - I thank to walen, dreiven, true_spike and polish community which helped me a lot in this case. Thanks goes to TL admins who made great fair job. I hope that United States G5 is very happy with his abusing and trying to set me up, I guess he is just fine with his cleared stats. I hope too that GG.net admins will someday investigate my old case where there was no proof of me hacking either.

How did you first feel when you found out you were banned?
I laughed at it and thought it was a joke, exactly the same when I found out that I was banned on GG.net. But then I found out that April fools were few days ago and was like wtf.

Do you agree with TSL's policy on hacking and would this incident have made you think twice about supporting it? For example the players that were banned for previously hacking within the year.
This is a joke not a policy. Players who are banned without a proof suffers from it. I don't know others cases, but Chile pALLo aka Xian is clean and he was banned from WGT without a strong evidence - just because of that he won against an admin (crayon) who abused his authority. TSL's policy is ok, until they ban wrong players.. players who were never 100% proven should never be banned, because the ones who abuses here are admins not players.
