Brood War Clan Liga season 28 has finished. Team Excello from Portugal has come out on top with an undefeated record.

Its not very often that a team goes completely untouched in a full season of any clan league. When they do it is considered a feat of great accomplishment and merit. This season Team Excello was able to bring the best lineup to the table and defeat every team they faced!
Excello Performs
Team Excello came into the 28th season fresh off some team shakeups, noticeably the name change from MgZ) to Excello. This had no effect on how well they can perform, except maybe to make them even better than before. So what makes a team able to go eleven and zero? Maybe its who makes a team do so well? A few factors come into play in creating a great team, but what are the ones for this team?
Well one could assume its team leadership that is a major factor, possibly one or two players carry the whole team. With Excello this does not seem to be the case, although they have many players who are very strong. When we talked to IefNaij he mentioned that loyalty played a big part in how well they did this season, along with members being able to show up for every CW. Deto was able to get this same point across, saying that friendship among the team members and the leadership was very helpful. It seems that Excello exceeds because of their close bonds with each other, which makes perfect sense.
Coming up
Excello goes up against Templars of Twilight next week in iCCup clan league to try and prove once again that they are the #1 team in Brood War. Can they take down the machine that is the Templars? This remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure Excello has proven that they can compete with any team out there right now.
