Seven amazing PvZ matches were played on Sunday for Ascension's second group. Despite a slight postponement, the games were finished and saw an interesting turn of events as MYM.GeNtLeMaN was nowhere to be seen after losing for the second time to LRM)Fosken in game three. Fosken, who has been playing great this year, started at 3-0 after also beating the American player Nony[Media] in game two, using great micro and timing to eliminate psi storm from the mid-game equation.

Nony, beaten but not down for good, took game four in an awesome match using great timing to push out against Fosken's 3 hatch mass hydras forcing him to GG. Next up was supposed to be a PvP seeing Nony take on GeNtLeMaN. However for unknown reasons at this point, GeNtLeMaN left the tournament altogether, leaving Nony to play Fosken again. This tournament then changed from a three player round robin into essentially a 1v1 best of five, with Fosken's victories over GeNtLeMaN becoming little more than practice for the next few matches. This is not to say that GeNtLeMaN played badly, it was indeed the opposite.

Back and forth to the very last minute

Both players, playing extremely well at this point were tied 1-1 and had roughly an hour left to duke it out in as many games as they could fit in. In game five, Fosken used mutas to catch Nony off gaurd, forcing a surrender in about 12 minutes. In game six, a perhaps overzealous Fosken used basically an all-in speedling rush which was successfully countered by Nony's FE with great probe micro and perfect timing with cannons. Once again the players were tied and would have to play another game.
