SuperStars is over: IdrA picked by eSTRO

eSTRO has finally made up their minds and it is now official, IdrA will go to Korea in early 2008.

The 16 player invitational tournament StarCraft SuperStars, hosted by the International E-Sports Group, ended only a few months ago. For those of you who did not follow it; the top five players were said to get a chance to prove themselves against the eSTRO players, and then one of them would go on to play with the team on spot in Korea. The top five ended up with IdrA, Skew, Dino, XiaoZi and Iefnaij and each and every one of them got to play versus a progamer from eSTRO to see which one was the most suited for the trip.

There were a lot of complaints from the community since the tournament also had a cash prize, which caused a lot of players to enter without actually wanting the spot in the eSTRO team. $500, $300, $150 and $50 for the top four players, and those together with the fifth placed player would advance to the next round to play versus the Koreans for the managers to see who would get the chance to go to Korea.

However, he only one who seemed to stand a chance at alll during the games versus the Koreans was IdrA, but even he ended up losing 0:2 against the Protoss player Soyeon[WHITE]. Despite the loss, IdrA was the one picked for the trip to Korea and with a lot more planning to be done, of course, it is decided that IdrA will go to play with eSTRO early next year.
