QCup: Templars of Twilight Strike Back

In the fifth week of the QCup, Templars of Twilight goes off its losing streak as Mondragon fights his way to victory without losing a single match. 3D.PallMall, MgZ)Mana and sMi.Midian all bump their teams a few points up the rankings as QPad's clan event continues.

Mondragon brings the QCup its first no-loss full house victory with his three wins against 3D's PallMall in the finals. This catapults ToT from the bottom of the rankings to a contender for the top spot, ranking second alongside Team BW- and 3D.

In an interview with QPad, he noted that he felt no fear for the final, as he feels too confident to fear anyone in a ZvP match-up. He considered his brackets to be very easy, barring the game against Midian which he won because of a lucky move involving his first few lings. He thinks the Templars will probably finish in the top 3 together with Los Reyes and MeetYourMakers.

Unlike previous weeks, we find no new winners in the brackets, as all teams in the semifinals had already scored points in the past. Nerds at Work/QPad found themselves relegated back to the sidelines after scoring their first points two weeks ago, while 3D further solidified their position by making it all the way into the finals.

Last week's winner Los Reyes del Mambo couldn't make it past SkyRiders in the very first round, much like fellow top-3 team Team BW- which was also taken out by the Czechs.

Indeed, none of the top 3 teams made it very far this week. Deutschlands kranke Horde had to give it up to pAq in the first round, losing more ground to new top 3 entries ToT and 3D. We'll see if these teams will manage to make a comeback next week.
