GGSL: Jinro vs. Legend videocasted tonight*

[s]event_406[/s]

Tonight is GosuGamers StarLeague time, and we have a total of 13 matches to watch. Jinro versus Legend is videocasted by GameSports. Below is a prediction made by Raistlin.

GGSL Matches tonight
United States IdrA vs. Germany Breakdown @ 19:00
IdrA lost his first match against Testie in the league. And if that wasn't enough he had lost earlier against Testie in the BW4Ever Finals. IdrA has shown great results earlier, but last week's matches was probably something that he would like to forget. Breakdown, now known as Bouncer, has not been seen in any official matches since June 2006, but is now making a comeback. He managed to defeat MysticJoey in the first GGSL match, and is surely hungry for more. IdrA is considered the favorite, and losing his second match in the GGSL group stage would be a surprise.
Canada Testie vs. Poland MysticJoey @ 19:00
Testie took down IdrA, and MysticJoey lost to Breakdown last round. Testie was not satisfied with last weekend's BW4Ever, ending only in fourth place and should be hungry to show what he's got. MysticJoey is a strong Zerg, but anything but a win for Testie here will be a major upset.
Poland ParanOid vs. Russia Ex @ 19:00
Both ParanOid and Ex lost their first matches in the GGSL, both defeated by the two MicroGamerZ players bH and Oldy. This is an important match for both players, since the loser will have a very hard time qualifying to the playoffs. Ex recently teamed up with Excello and did an okay match versus LRM in the FragBet League. ParanOid has the upper edge over Ex, defeating him in the first season of FragBet League.
Poland bH vs. Canada Oldy @ 19:00
The two had a good start in the league, but now the two team mates up against each other. bH is one of the promising Protoss players in Poland and did good in the H4G tournament, while Oldy is a player that has been around for quite a while and did an all-kill on DkH last weekend. Much speaks for Oldy in this match, and should he win this he is in a good position to qualify.
Poland Dreiven vs. Croatia Ptak @ 19:00
Dreiven is another Polish Protoss player and is currently in the Top 30 in our rankings. An important player in the DkH roster, but failed to stop Xiaozi in FragBet League. His opponent Ptak has had a hard time lately, losing to Odin in the first round of the league, and losing to PredY, Strelok and eXeCuToR in recent clan league results. Looking at the PvZ statistics, Dreiven has the edge here.
Spain ZelotITO vs. Brazil Odin @ 19:00
The Spanish Protoss ZelotITO lost his first round against Dreiven which was a bit of surprise. On the other side we have Odin who has had a great period of playing. 14 straight wins in matches counted in his rankings, and the most recent when taking down Ex in FragBet League was impressive. Odin is the favourite here, unless ZelotITO finds his way back to his prime days.
Finland Clawson vs. Poland Gohan @ 19:00
Both are first round winners and in this Protoss mirror match we will see Clawson who recently was drafted to aAa and Gohan who is one of the strong Poles in MicroGamerZ. GohaN had a good streak for a while but then lost to Hullah three (!) times, and then to Pj. A tough match to predict, but Clawson is looking strong.
Russia Bruce vs. China Pj @ 19:00
Pj has been showing great results and is with no doubt the favorite to win this match. The Chinese player defeated Artosis in the first round, while Bruce lost to Mondragon in two very quick games. Keep in mind though that Bruce defeated Pj in the first season of FragBet League. Though everything points to that Pj will win.
Germany Mondragon vs. United States Artosis @ 19:00
Mondragon himself thinks that Artosis will defeat him, saying he is weak against Terrans. Though looking at previous results Mondragon has won every time, and apart from GhosT, SEn is the only player who has defeated Mondragon for a very long time. Artosis is strenghtened by his recent LAN win, and should be a tougher opponent to Mondragon than our GosuBetters think.
Russia Androide vs. United States sO.o @ 20:00
Androide lost the first round, playing Zerg. Some say it's because he don't want to let out any replays for the upcoming WCG. Or he simply was infested and is tired of Terran. sO.o, also known as HungTran, has been very successful lately, taking down player after player in various events. Last round he defeat the Terran Strelok. The young American has been a very important pillar in the MicroGamerZ team in last season's clan leagues and can very well defeat Androide here.
United Kingdom Midian vs. Ukraine Strelok @ 19:00
MidiaN has the upper hand over Strelok, taking him down once in the ToT invite tournament and once in the AmeriCup Finals. The Terran Warship Strelok recently lost to SEn in our King of the Hill series and has been in better shape before. MidiaN and his Zerg forces are the favourites here, but don't be too surprised if Strelok takes it.
China Legend vs. Sweden jinro @ 17:30
Once again Jinro gets to be in the spotlight. Last time he was playing SEn in the opening match for GGSL, now he goes up against Legend in a match that will be videocasted by GameSports.de. Both players are strong in the Protoss mirror matchup, but Jinro himself says that Legend is simply too strong. Though taking a game from SEn in the last round, Jinro can score an upset or two again. Legend is the favorite, with 89% in the GosuBet.
Sweden Mireille vs. Taiwan SEn @ 17:00
Last time, and only time they played was in WGTour Matchcast where SEn came out victorious with 3-0. SEn should still be considered the favorite, but Mireille is this time considering what he was a year ago. Mireille is the LAN champion, winning the French Aix LAN and ending second in the latest DreamHack tournament. LAN or not, SEn would still be the top favorite.

The matches will, as always, be in channel op GosuGamers1, and the starting map this week will be Peaks of Baekdu. Good luck to all players.
