Lx: 'Would destroy Sen in KOTH'

[s]interview[/s]

Once again, GosuGamers brings you an exlusive interview from one of the players that are less familiar to our community. We all know of him, but we've rarely seen anything from him besides his game play.

He's been playing StarCraft since 2001 and we all know that he's a former progamer at SKT T1. These days he's back in China and playing for BOSS. We dive right in and start with asking him about GosuGamers of course.

Do you know GosuGamers.net? Do you visit there often? What do you think of the ranking?
Yes, I go there quite often, but why do lose so many points when I lose? I like this site, and I like to look at the pictures, but I cannot understand the English words, haha. And I'd love to go play KOTH against Sen, and I will destroy him. :D

That's because you are high ranked, so you lose more points when you lose to people who rank lower than you.
But all the people in the rank are capable of defeating me. It's very easy to lose.

Currently you are ranking #2, do you know Testie who is ranked #1? How much do you know about the BW scene outside Korea and China?
I know Testie, I enjoy watching replays from Europe and America, but I dont know those people so well.

WCG is probably the most important event in BW scene outside Korea, you have won 4th place in 2006, are you satisfied? Are you planning on joining the next one in 2007? What's your goal?
I was really nervous during my matches, so I didn't really do well. I will try my best next time and hopefully win first place in WCG.

You are one of the people who left progaming scene but still plays BW after, what's your experiences and biggest obstacle and trouble during your stay in Korea?
The progaming scene in Korea is really professional, and people are really striving for the best, and their fans really support the players. My biggest obstacle would be difficulty in communication and Korean food is not so great.

Draco said before it is hard to get training partners, especially from outside the team, did you have had similar problems before?
Yes, of course.

E-sport is rising rapidly in China, what do you think of this? And do you think China will one day exceed Korea?
I dont think anytime soon, people in China are still being conservative and rejecting e-sport. But there are much more potential in China, and the market is huge.

Who would you say in China is top 3 ranking for every race?
PJ, me, Jaystar
Super, ChinaTTTT, LeiLei
F91, Beckham, Fengzi

You have defeated PJ many times such as PLU, CEG, you would still rate him the best protoss not yourself?
He is still training hard in Korea, so I am slowed down.

What would you advice to people who wants to become progamer in Korea? For example people like Testie, Mondragon, Sen etc.
You must first LOVE this game very much, and you are determined to train hard and become the best. Money will also play a factor. More money will push you to play more and harder, but if you dont get any award you would get a lot more pressure too.

What do you think of Super? After his problems with ehome he said he wants to go SKT T1 too, how well do you think he can do?
I think Super can do really well. He plays Terran and I think he has a lot of potential. But he just cannot beat me in any event, haha.

What do you think of those events held in China? For example PGL, PLU, do you think those events will popularize SC? Do you think CCTV will uncensor e-sport programs?
I am pretty sure they will uncensor.

You recently joined Team Boss, how do you like it? Who do you train with now?
I think Boss is a good team, but because Chinese New Year I didn't train with them much. And PGL's internet connection is really good, I believe I can play for them in clan wars.

In Korea now Savior is unstopable, do you think anyone could stop him? And the MSL final he will play vs Bisu, what do you think the result would be?
I'd say zergs would have a better chance to defeat him. And for the MSL final, Bisu will win 3:2! My hope for toss!

The interview was done entirely by GosuGamers crew member, Canada Aurora_Phoenix. Lx mentioned that he spends most his time in the PGL training room and that they have a very nice internet connection, which pretty much eliminates his lag. Aurora_Phoenix even tried a game with him to test it. He reported a pleasant surprise as there was hardly any lag. We will not reveal the result of that game though, but we can say that our interviewer found Lx to be very friendly and easy to interview.

GosuGamers wishes Lx luck in the future and hope to see him in as many events as possible.
