The last week of the MSL group of 16 stage. The winners here today would make it to the next stage. Also an interesting preview of what could be the ace game on sunday between CJ and MBC when Savior takes on Pusan. Here are the battle reports.
Savior vs
Pusan at Reverse Temple
Savior takes the main at 6 and Pusan DT drops the zerg main. Unfortunately for him Savior has burrow and he doesn't get as many drone kills as he should have gotten. Pusan has added a lot of gateways and supported by reavers he takes his mineral only. He also tries to head for the mineral only of zerg, but hydras counter his newly made nexus and he has to withdraw to save it. When he does move out he gets flanked by Savior. Although he wins the battle zerg reinforces more quickly and forces him to withdraw without hurting the zerg economy much.
Pusan drops the main at 6 with some zealots and does a little bit of damage before he takes the natural at 12 and tries to move out again. Savior holds the attack and drops the newly build nexus at 12 natural at the same time. Pusan is force to realize he's beaten. GG
Silver vs
Much at Blitz X
Zerg loses a lot of lings, but Much is not left with too many zealots either. Silver decides to tech for hydras and with those he destroys the pesky buildings in his natural. Much counters in the middle, but not much damage at all. As Silver's hydra count begins to rise, Much tries to delay their arrival at his natural. He's warping in cannons, but Silver makes it in time and stomps him into submission. GG
Bisu vs
Canata at Longinus II
Terran has been slowly pushing for control of the high ground and now he's got it. He pushes for Bisu's newly established mineral only, but his line of units gets flanked with arbiters and destroyed. Canata takes 5 and plays dropship games with the protoss expansions while he tries to regain control of the higher ground. Bisu controls it nicely though. He also makes sure the expansion at 5 doesn't mine for too long and that Canata cannot establish 9. In effect he is starving him until he has the units to recall 5 and then the terran main. Canata has to give up. There were also some nice stasis use in this game, not counting when Bisu blocked himself out from the terran expo at 5. GG
Free vs
XellOs at Desert Fox
This game had so many drops back and forth, so lets just talk about it in broad terms. Xellos seemed to constantly be a base ahead of free in mid game, but free also tended to halt mining at the terran bases with a single shuttle. As the game developed they traded bases back and forth and Free had about one high templar for every zealot. He stormed Xellos at every occasion. Xellos kept his economy running though and slightly abused the map in his favor. In the end all of Free's insane storming wasn't enough and he had to type out. GG

XellOs asking who's next.
