PGL Invitational Starcraft Groups Released!

The Groupings for the PGL Starcraft Invitational to be held in Beijing have now been released.

With China now opening its arms and embracing the Gaming Community with the rapid proliferation of Warcraft, the Starcraft community was thrilled to learn the introduction of the Invitational PGL Starcraft Tournament. The PGL removed all doubts about it being a Chinese-only event with the announcement of foreign players such as the ever popular

Legionnaire and the talented Zerg

League Rules

The grouping of the players was chosen randomly and they were placed in 4 groups as mentioned below. Players in their group will play each other in a round robin in a best of 5 series and will be double elimination style. Once the double elimination is complete, the players are placed in two groups namely the Winners Bracket and the Losers Bracket. From here on it's a single elimination where top four players from each group are chosen to move forward. However one of the valiant eliminated will have a chance to redeem himself by the voters on the Internet and will be reinstated in the "Survivor Round". Here onwards the nine players will play each other in a single elimination till the top five are determined (eliminating the remaining 4).
This process will be repeated till the final champion is chosen.
