- SPOILER WARNING -
The quarter- and the semi-finals have been played, and the foreigners have proven themselves worthy to compete with the Koreans this time, even though it didn't result in advancement.

Pj put up a great fight against Bisu in the groupstage, making Tasteless and Artosis think that just a miracle move could save Bisu that game. Unfortunately somethling like that happened, and a loss was reality for Pj. After this, moving onto the quarterfinals up against Stork seemed exciting for many.

- Stork vs Pj is an interesting matchup because of all the qualified foreigners I think Pj has the biggest chance to score an upset," ToT)yentA( told GosuGamers before the game. And he was almost right, Pj won the first game vs Stork, and proved that his skills gained as a Chinese progamer isn't far from the Koreans anymore. Going 1-2 against Stork, didn't give him a revenge from 2007, but it shows that he's able to come back and put up another good fight at WCG.

A2, also known as Advokate had to see his name next to the best Zerg of all time, JaeDong, in the playoffs, and not many believed he could do much to prevent an early goodbye to the playoffs. But at the same time it was 1-1 between Stork and Pj, it was also 1-1 between JaeDong and A2.

The Russian won a game against the strongest Zerg the world has ever seen. Unfortunately both of the Koreans managed to win the third game, and moved on to the semi-finals. But there's no doubt that A2 and Pj put up a great show, and will be remembered for taking a game each from two of the greatest Korean progamers.

As it was clear that Bisu had won his game vs Sen 2-0, Kolll amazingly beat one of the best foreigners these days, IdrA with a 2-0 score. Along with Pj and A2 both taking a game from Stork and JaeDong, this is probably one of the biggest upsets of the tournament, but an exciting one. Kolll is only 14 years old, and had to bring his older brother to be able to participate. Very impressive work by the German, who could start preparing for the semi-finals against Stork.

The semi-finals went by pretty fast, JaeDong didn't show any signs of mistakes against Bisu, and gave him a hard time winning 2-0. Early ling harassment in the first game, and hydrapush the second game, with perfect timings as we're used to see from JaeDong makes it hard to believe that A2 pulled out a win from this guy in this shape.

Kolll vs Stork was also the end for kolll, who had to see his expansion destroyed by Dragoons in the second game, and his mutas were unable to do any major harm to them. Kolll will later face the third, and only Korean he hasn't faced this tournament yet, Bisu, in the thirdplace finals. Then it's down to JaeDong and Stork in the finals. Now we just have to wait for the VODs.
