Not so Weekly Forum News

Welcome back to another set of our "weekly" Forum News. I had, as always, every intention of having it weekly. And, as always, boring stuff like Real Life got in the way. But here we are now! This week: Some romance, cool pics, a mystery, and an old problem solved!

But first let's start out with me telling you how to do stuff. How a strategy forum thread should look like. It's so easy to do, it seriously takes like five minutes more time than a "omg plz help pvt imba what should i do?!!" and gets so you so much better response. Watch and learn people.

Boring stuff done, let's get back to some cool stuff. Remember the old Picture of the Week, which started out weekly and then became as weekly as this forum news series and then became picture of the half year and then was removed? Well, it isn't back, but we do have some cool pictures that would have been worthy of good old POTW! The Zealot BlizzCon costume and the StarCraft sand castle. Come on, we all know that when sun is burning just a little too hot and the water has gotten boring (after five minutes) you all want back to play our beloved game!

Let's get over to this "week's" mystery. Who is Afghanistan's #1 Zerg? It's not like there should be tight competition for the spot, but still. Who is he, and what is he doing in Korea? And how often does he use Infested Terrans?

And that leads us to an ancient problem solved. It is as ancient as this game itself, and has left many a gosu confused. But it has finally been answered! The answer, "use the shift key!" How to patrol in a geometrical shape? Ah, the mysteries of life.

I've sort of purposely "forgotten" about BlizzCon in this news report, there's been enough coverage of that already. But here is a little gem we can't just let go unnoticed, even if it's not even StarCraft related. Congratulations to Grubby!

And just to make sure you didn't miss it, there is a huge Idra interview up. And it's a good one. Idra being his normal honest self.

And last for this week is a real time killer. Yes, you will spend the rest of your youth on this. Your StarCraft skills will wither away while you spend the next few years on this little evil invention. It is A StarCraft Flash Game. Evil incarnate, created to lead us astray from the true path (read: melee games).
