After an eight-team qualifier, mTw and osR have qualified for the main round starting this Sunday, June 28.
The Germans in mTw swept past Russian-based iFu in the first round of the qualifier with NarutO, iNfeRnaL and HoRRoR defeating their opponents. In the second round, they were paired up against NeO roxOr Team who was given a forfeit win in the first round against Team BW-. Once again, the Germans proved the stronger team and sailed through with a 3-0 score.
But it was not without drama as WGTour's administrator LastNight69 reports of walkovers and rule regulations. The WGTour report reads that NrT's metaLinG made DarkGamer wait for 40-50 minutes for a toilet break, but metaLinG himself states that it was only five minutes.
NrT is also said to have misunderstood the rule "Clan League maps will be used but also new maps will be added to update the current mappack". Nothing is mentioned how this will be punished but mTw has been awarded the victory.
Chilean team Old School Reborn (osR) continued to surprise as they defeated Nervous Gamers (NrG) in the second round, coming straight out of the first round with a win over Evil Geniuses thanks to stellar play by KiLLeR and KNiF.
