Our world rankings based on our results database. Counting the results all the way back since 2005 from all the major online and offline events. Only matches from leagues in the "foreign scene" are given points, which means that no matches from the Korean pro leagues gets included in the ranking. Every month we check up on the players in the top30 to see how things have changed since the last time. Here is the report for February 2008!
Top three changes, Draco loses the second place
Mondragon stands as the reigning number one since so many months now, but he better watch out. Strelok is catching up and only needs another 40 points to be the one on top. Further down Draco still has a lot of points, but now when the Ukrainian made his way past him, the other ones seem to be catching up as well. Soon we will most likely see the rest of the top players gaining those hundred points to get them ahead of the former progamer. It seems that the Chinese Canadian IefNaij is on his way up as well by gaining 4 spots four spots and now, again, with another six ranks put underneath him. Dreiven is also doing his best as he reached the ninth place last month added with another two gained this month, he has reached the seventh place. Also, Castro had a good month by gaining six spots together with F91 who gained eight but the real ladder climber of the month is surely Gosia, who climbed 9 spots.
Seven new faces in top 30
Among the newcomers we can see a total of seven new faces who'll be replacing HayprO and Kyopo, who were excluded from the rankings due to using the Oblivion hack, along with PallMall, FaTe, Fosken and Lamer who all lost points due to inactivity or poor play in the leagues. The new players are kAra - the German King of the Hill - on rank 22, the up and coming Chosen on rank 26 and the comebacks A2(16), iNfeRnaL(21), Notforu(23), GohaN(25) and Fenix(27). There have been a lot of big drops in the rankings this month with Pj, Testie and Crayon all loing four spots, whereas Ex lost as many as seven and the Chinese hope of xLo lost a total of 16 ranks. Also, IdrA is doing worse, since he decided to retire from the leagues to prepare for his trip to Korea.

The balance between the races in top 30 has not changed too much, the only thing that has happened is that Protoss got another boost and the Random team has lost two of its followers. It seems that the Protosses will stay on top for now, with the Zergs close behind.
If we look at the nation break down for this month, Poland and China still have the most players in the top 30. Germany got a little boost, and we have another Peruvian to accompany CaStrO; Fenix. Chosen also brings the United States back on track, now with three players again, which has not been the case for quite some time. Both Bulgaria and Sweden are out for now.
When it comes to the teams, xLo has lost their control over the top 30 ranks. MYM took the top with seven players, basically just moving Strelok and ToT got iNfeRnaL and GohaN back and ended up with six players which helped them taking the top2 from xLo who are close behind with five members in the top 30.
