GosuGamers Rankings; January 2008

Our world rankings based on our results database. Counting the results all the way back since 2005 from all the major online and offline events. Only matches from leagues in the "foreign scene" is given points, which means that no matches from the Korean pro leagues gets included in the ranking. Every month we check the changes in the list, and here are the results for January 2008!

These rankings is purely based on results, no special expert based opinions or anything like that - pure results.

It has been many months now since Mondragon took the throne away from the Polish Protoss player Draco during the World Cyber Games 2007, but Draco sticks with his second place. This months first ladder climber is Strelok, who climbed nine spots last month and another five this one. He reaches third place, with only 17 points left before he can claim second place. Besides that the top is pretty much unchanged, not until you get down to the ninth place things start to happen. Dreiven snatches number 9 after gaining four spots this month. They both did well, but some who did even better were LeiLei, gaining seven spots, and HayprO, climbing the whole of ten spots in the list, ending up at 18th place.

On the lower part of the list we see no less than eight new faces, losing ToT's GohaN and SquaLL, the Russians A2 and Notforu, the two hopes of [LighT]: stalife and bandit and last but not least the Brazilian Zerg ReasoN and Chinese Super. They gave place for Peruvian CastRo, the German Kyopo, Pallmall and FaTe from Russia, Kelsen, DinOt and the two Poles Fosken and Gosia. The sad story of the month would be Lamer who has been pretty high up on the list in the past but this time lost as much as 14 spots and ended up on the 30th place. Also Sen(from not being active), XiaOzI and Temujin fell down five spots each.
