Ajax leaves NRG Esports

Overwatch Radoslav “Nydra” Kolev

The team is down to just four active members.

Following the resignations of captain and star player Brandon “Seagull” Larned and Matthew “Clockwork” Dias in April, today NRG's roster became lighter still with the news that Alex “Ajax” Jackson has also left the organisation. The star team, which was signed in August last year and had been in deep hibernation since the end of 2016 due to multiple roster changes, only returned to competitive play last month to mediocre results. NRG finished faced quarter final elimination in Alienware Monthly Melee April and CyberPower Invitational and finished only top sixteen at Overwatch Rumble April.

With Ajax gone, Tim “dummy” Olson remains the only support on NRG and if a new signee or substitute is not found soon it could be a long time before NRG plays another game of competitive Overwatch with a stable roster. The team is currently headlined by Andre “iddqd” Dahlström, and also features tank Seb “numlocked” Barton and flex Anthony “Harbleu” Flex.

Ajax himself will be looking for a new team going forward to further extend his rich legacy in Overwarch.
