Reminder: Registration for Rivalcades Overwatch Rumble closes on April 18th 2017, with the open qualifier games taking place that evening.
Overwatch Rumble is using open qualifiers to find the last 8 teams to play in their Overwatch Rumble tournament this weekend. The top 3 qualifiers get money prizes on top of qualifying to play against giants such as EnVyUs & Cloud9. The other 5 qualifying teams only get to play in the tournament, bringing them huge exposure and lots of practice. The Overwatch Rumble tournament will take place during the weekend of the 22nd of April. For more information, read our article on the main tournament
The qualifiers are open to any team so long as they register. It is hard to say how long the tournament will take because it depends on how many teams sign up for the tournament. However, the top 8 teams will advance. The entire tournament will be a single elimination Bo3 bracket. If you lose then you are out. Simple. Sign ups can be found here.
There is a maximum of 64 participants and as of writing this article there are 49 teams signed up. Currently there are some heavy hitters signed up for the tournament; such as Toronto eSports, Counter Logic Gaming, and Team Liquid.
