
Ready to end Gamescom with a bang, ESL's Atlantic Showdown begins its final stage tomorrow. The highly anticipated tournament features 8 ot the top 10 teams in the world playing for a $100,000 prize pool.
The long awaited Atlantic Showdown finally begins this weekend, featuring eight of the best North American and European teams in Overwatch. The teams faced a grueling qualification process that narrowed it down to four per region. The tournament will take place during the final two days of Gamescom and promises to close out the popular German gaming festival with a bang. Eight of the current top ten ranked teams in the world will battle it out for their share of a $100,000 prize pool, the biggest awarded so far in Overwatch. The group stage will feed into a single elimination, best of 5 bracket.

The tournament closes out a big weekend for Overwatch that featured a meta shifting patch on PTR and the reveal of a new map, Eichenwalde. Sadly neither will be played during the matches, but do promise plenty of meta shifts in the future.
