A big muscled-up robot and a disc jockey join Zenless Zone Zero.
Game developer HoYoverse held a livestream today to dive into details for Zenless Zone Zero’s upcoming update Version 2.2, titled “On The Precipice of the Abyss.” This version update sees Season 2’s miasmi-infused plot thicken as the Lemnian Hollow becomes suspiciously quiet. It also adds two new playable characters in Dialyn and Banyue, both of whom are members of the Krampus Compliance Authority.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.4’s new Agents: Dialyn and Banyue
Zenless Zone Zero is introducing two new Agents from the Krampus Compliance Authority, a subsidiary of TOPS, and an all-new in-game faction to boot. First up is Dialyn, an S-Rank Physical Stun Agent. She wields an oversized ring-like chakram in battle, with abilities themed around her role as a customer service agent at Krampus. She can stun enemies before inflicting debuffs on them, clearing the path for her teammates to unleash their ultimate abilities.
Version 2.4’s second new Agent is Banyue, an S-Rank Fire Rupture Agent with mastery over various martial arts. His kit centres around different combinations of flashy melee attacks, allowing him to chain together combos, cancels, and special abilities to put pressure on his enemies. In a Visage state, Banyue will gain two extra arms and apply fire attacks on his enemies.
Banyue will be your team’s main attacker, benefiting from off-field or quickly-swappable Agents in combat. Dialyn and Hugo will be Version 2.4’s first half banners, while Banyue and Ellen will be Version 2.4’s second half banners. Hugo and Ellen return from previous banners this time around. Birkblick is this update’s all-new Bangboo.
Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.4's new story content and events
The level of miasma occurring in the Lemnian Hollow has begun to reduce, though it looks like our intrepid heroes won’t be able to rest on their laurels just yet. As dark threats begin to stir within the Lemnian Hollow, both Banyue and Dialyn get sent into the thick of things. Season 2’s story is heading towards a climactic event as well, with Ye Shunguang–an upcoming Void Hunter–and their fellow faction member Zhao also joining the fray.
As for new events, players can expect the game's usual log-in events to return, with 10 free Encrypted Master Tapes and Boopons for players to claim. Belobog Industries' Grace will also return to the spotlight in the event Neo Golden Mecha, which sees the Agent get involved in a big-time movie production. The mech also returns in Neo Golden Mecha, with Eous even getting in on some fast-paced combat encounters. 100% Miss Bunny also sees Zhao drop by to give the player a series of tasks in exchange for rewards.
Ye Shunguang will also hang out with the Proxy in a series of social events called Lightstream Notes, offering some levity in the midst of the darkening main story. HIA Club’s Simulated Sequence Showdown will also offer a series of combat-related commissions. En-Nah Chess Saga will throw Bangboos into yet another series of strategy-based minigames. Double drop material events are also returning as usual, allowing players to grind out their new Agents a little faster.
Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.4's quality-of-life changes
Proxies will soon be able to play the Suibian Temple minigame with a little more ease. New changes have arrived via auto-management and improved accessibility, to allow players to more easily redeem rewards without being overly hands-on. Auto-management is available after players hit Level 35 in the mode.
