League of Legends' Warwick joins 2XKO

Blood runs... they all run.

League of Legends (LoL) developer Riot Games has announced that Warwick will be the newest champion to join the roster of 2XKO, the LoL fighting game, following the latter's early access release. Warwick will be the eleventh LoL champion to enter 2XKO’s growing line-up, joining Ahri, Yasuo, Darius, Braum, Illaoi, Ekko, Jinx, Vi, Blitzcrank, and Teemo.

Who is Warwick?

Warwick is the blood-soaked monster that prowls the underbelly of Zaun. But before he became the snarling beast that stalks the streets, he was once a man and a father.

In Arcane, Warwick is Vander, the protector of Zaun and the adoptive father of sisters Jinx and Vi. After a tragic explosion caused by young Powder (later Jinx) that killed their siblings and left Vander mortally wounded, he was handed over to Silco’s forces and ultimately to the mad chemist Singed. Subjected to endless experiments, Vander was transformed into a hulking, feral creature, half-man, half-beast, consumed by rage and haunted by flashes of his lost humanity.

Singed’s experiments killed Vander once, but also resurrected him as Warwick: a biomechanical werewolf infused with spliced monster DNA and an insatiable thirst for blood. In Arcane, Viktor’s corrupted Hextech was briefly used to stabilise him, but after Viktor’s death, only the monstrous side of Warwick remained.

In League of Legends, Warwick is known as both a jungler and a top laner, thriving on hunting low-health opponents and bullying his lane with relentless sustain and pressure, all while following the scent of blood across the map.

Fans have been praising Warwick's design and combat kit in comments section on the YouTube page, believing that the 2XKO team captured the beloved champion's persona, ability kit and all.

What are Warwick’s abilities in 2XKO?

Warwick’s 2XKO moveset channels the same ferocity that defines him on the Rift: relentless pursuit, savage combos, and that signature bloodthirst; now reimagined through the fast-paced style of a fighting game.

Bloodlust

  • Just like in LoL, Warwick craves blood. In 2XKO, every successful attack fills his Bloodlust gauge. Once full, he unlocks access to special moves and can recover health using his S2 special attacks.

Feral Fang

  • Aerial biting and slashing attacks that knock down airborne opponents.

Feral Bite

  • Warwick rears back before lunging at the opponent’s feet, biting and tossing them across the stage. If the attack connects, it can be cancelled into specials, Supers, or his Ultimate, and it grants extra Bloodlust. (Unavailable while Bloodlust is active.)

Both Feral Fang and Feral Bite appear inspired by his LoL ability Jaws of the Beast (Q).

Aerial Primal Vault

  • Unlocked during Bloodlust. Warwick cancels his jump into a Primal Leap, allowing follow-ups from jumps, aerial attacks, Blood Seeker, or Spinning Slicer.

Spinning Slicer

  • A flurry of spinning aerial slashes that send opponents crashing to the ground. This move rapidly builds Bloodlust, and during Bloodlust, most of its strikes can be chained into Aerial Primal Leap.

Feral Feast

  • Available only in Bloodlust mode, Warwick pounces on his opponent in a vicious mauling attack that drains their recoverable health while restoring his own.

Blood Hunt (Ultimate)

  • Warwick gives in completely to his primal instincts, stopping only once he’s caught his prey. On a successful hit, it automatically triggers Bloodlust, or heals Warwick if he’s already enraged, a clear homage to his iconic LoL Ultimate.

Warwick’s 2XKO kit stays true to his LoL roots: fast, feral, and up-close. His playstyle thrives on relentless pressure and tight combos, forcing opponents to stay on guard or risk being torn apart in seconds.
