The Story so far...

Blizzard has recently added to its lore the official story of the original StarCraft campaign. It starts from the very first campaign to the final push on Aiur that defeated the Zerg Overmind.

It's been 10 years since StarCraft was released, but only four years have passed in the StarCraft universe. Through these 10 years some of us may have forgotten about the story behind the original StarCraft campaign and so Blizzard has written a summary to fill us in.

"Remember us, Executor. Remember what was done here today. May Adun watch over you." - Tassadar

This is only part 1 of a two part story, the second being the compendium to Brood War. The written accounts will help those who have forgotten the previous campaigns to catch up to what has happened so far in the StarCraft Universe. Now players won't have to replay those campaigns again just to remember. There are also screenshots from the cinematics as well as quotes from the characters from inside the game which makes a person nostalgic.

It doesn't seem like there are many more units left to reveal except for the Zerg units, and even that seems far away. It is a good thing that Blizzard still has a lot to release to help us all stay sane as we wait for StarCraft II. Old and nothing new, but will help to introduce those to StarCraft who haven't been fully emersed in the StarCraft universe just yet.
